Cork Notice Board

I made this notice board for Freddie’s office.  However,  I went to get some milk from the shop today and by the time I had returned he had put up a shelf exactly where I had intended this to be hung.  I was only gone half an hour!  Men and their power tools!

The idea for this came from watching “At home with the Braithwaites”  I am not sure if it was the first or the second episode.  Alison, who won the millions, was standing in the kitchen and there was a large frame hanging on the wall.  It took a couple of viewings to see what it was.  It was a large frame full of corks.

This is my take on it.  I think it would have looked nicer with the corks flush against a nice big chunky frame but this is all I had.

I covered the outer frame with torn pieces of pictures from a magazine.  I then covered the paper with paper varnish.  The corks are stuck on using a glue gun.

A huge thank you to Toli and Tanya for the endless supply of corks.

Best Wishes Florence.
