Post Card – JFF week 16

Over at  Just For Fun the theme for this weeks challenge, chosen by Neet, is 6″ x 4″ postcards.  I have never really thought about making actual postcards before.  What a fabulous idea especially with the rising cost of postal charges.   I also put off writing letters because of shortness of time  (I’ll do it tomorrow!) or lack of news to tell.  A  post card would be great just to let loved ones know that they are being thought about.

This is my entry for this week challenge.

I did keep the edges all lovely and white until I covered the card in modgepodge and the distressing ink ran.  I quite like the look though as I wanted it to look a bit aged.

Best wishes Florence.

Florence! This is amazing! I have been scratching my head over this challenge for 2 days now and I am too chicken to give it a go! LOL! After seeing your beautiful creation I am even more reluctant! LOL! No, all kidding aside.. I plan to post, I’m just having trouble pulling myself away from the butterflies and flowers I have been playing with. As usual, you totally stun me with your beautiful work. That rose is completely unbelievable!
    Have a lovely weekend,
    Lisa 🙂

Hi Lisa. Great to hear from you. My head is growing with all your lovely comments! LOL! The rose is a mamelok scrap. The only thing I had to do was stick it on! A real cheat I know! Looking forward to seeing your project.
      Kind Regards Florence.

Evocative is what sprang to mind as soon as I saw your submission. A lovely postcard (from Paris?) all in Sepia tints and then with the sudden burst of subtle colour (can that be a ‘burst’?) in the roses. I love how you have compiled this Florence.
Thanks for joining us again at JFF – Hugs, Neet x
