Crafty Individuals July Challenge

For this months Crafty Individuals challenge I have made a collage.  The theme this month is pink, cream and brown.  For full details of the challenge and to see all the fabulous entries click on the dragonfly link on the sidebar.

Pink is not a colour I use a lot of but I really enjoyed this challenge.  I used 10mm MDF board for the base.  The size is 31cms x 31cms approx.  The board was painted distressed and then stamped directly onto.  On the centre square, with the photo on, I used a piece of pretty paper.  The butterflies have been stencilled on using dimensional paint.  I have coated the board with 3 coats of Oritas spray varnish to seal it.

The idea for this board came from some old window frames in the garden.  I was thinking squares, distressed and then adding the colour pink into the mix.

Just as I was taking this photo this morning a honey bee decided to land on the flower.  Obviously wanted to get in on the action.

The Crafty Individual Stamps I used are CI285, CI309, CI304, CI306, CI170 and CI017.

I also used bird cage  and Lace (bottom left corner) – Chocolate Baroque.  Some swirls, borders and flowers by Anitas and Debbie Moore.

Talking about bird cages.  Crafty Individuals have just introduced some super new stamps to their range.  One of which is a lovely bird cage.  Link on the sidebar.

I’m off to try and persuade Freddie to make me a square frame for this.  I spotted some old pallets, behind the window frames, which will do just nicely.   I’ll take him a cuppa and butter him up! LOL!

Best Wishes Florence.
