Black and White hanging plaque

I have made a hanging plaque for this weeks Just For Fun Challenge.

Here is my little plaque.

DSC_0002

I used a small piece of 5mm ply wood and some small wooden embellishment trays.

I am early with this weeks entry.  I got up bright and early yesterday as the temperature had dropped quite a bit and thought I would get some jobs out of the way.  Freddie, however, had other ideas and decided to  make some jam! Not unusal in it self but when he said he was going to make it in the microwave, with the lid off!, I locked myself in my craft room and did some preserving of my own – my sanity!  I am you see, a bit of a obsessive cleaner.  The thought of the inside of the microwave being coated in hot jam was too much to bear. The good side is that I got loads of crafting done and also made quite a few cards as well. In addition we have 6 jars of lovely plumb jam in the pantry.

That’s it from me.  I am off to clean the microwave! lol! Have a great weekend.

Best Wishes Florence.

My hubby loves to cook as well but heavens, every pot, dish and container is used to make spag bog LOL Thanks for stopping by my blog. Do appreciate your comments.

  4. Well … what can I say … you have done yet another beautiful wall hanging. Love it, those images you have used (heads up please on whose they are as I “love” time) are brilliant and each one works in with the other.
Freddie and his jam – better than in my early years of married life when I decided to make plum jam in the pressure cooker. I let it blow steam – well it blew plums – right on my ceiling. Imagine the mess and the heat from the stuff that was dripping down on me as I tried to clean it off.

  7. Love the plaque Florence, so much to see in it and all done perfectly. Had a glut of plums from the miniature tree in my garden, so many the branches almost touched the floor. It was stewed plums and plum crumble for us – wish I’d have thought of jam though.

  12. Lovely plaque – my colours, in fact it would match most of the clothes in my wardrobe (not that this is what you´d do with a plaque 😉 ) So…now you´re going to have to get Freddie to do a guest post with his jam recipe!

  15. Love the very artist plaque and the story about the jam making. My husband loves making allsorts of things in the microwave–pickles, jam, chutney etc. He now has his very own microwave in the shed and uses it outside so no smells or cleaning in the kitchen one:)
