Week 30 – Just For Fun Challenge

Week 30!! It only seems like yesterday I was e.mailing Zoe and asking for help on how to enter the challenges. This weeks challenge is black, white, silver and one other.

I have to say I did struggle with this weeks challenge.  I have loved the black and white themes but I think I am all out of ideas now.

This is my entry for this week challenge.  I chose red as my “one other” colour.  I am not sure what this is for.   I did think I could drill some holes in the side or add a fabric spine and use it as a cover for a fabric book.

The word stamping is a bit wonkey! lol!

I painted onto 5mm ply wood with acrylic paints and then stamped onto it.  The size of this is 10 cm x 15 cm approx.

Best Wishes Florence

I love it! The red circle is just perfect and reminds me of an Asian Sun or something similar to that. I love the tree with the light catching on the side of the trunk and the branch and how the wording matches in with this. As what you end up using this for it will be beautiful – would look lovely on a coffee table as either a book cover or a box lid. Well done again and thanks for joining us at JFF – Hugs, Neet x

Perfect Florence, I echo every word that neet as all ready said 🙂 and yes it would make a lovely book cover 🙂
Take care and thank you for joining us at Just Of Fun 😉

Florence, I have to say… I was so happy to see your comment on my blog, I have grown so used to hearing from you… not to say that you have to comment as faithfully as you always do with your lovely kind comments!, but I seem to have grown so attached to your feedback that I noticed you haven’t posed in a few days and I was worried sick! I was searching for your ’email me’ button on your blog so I could check in with you to make sure all was well and it was such a relief to hear from you!! I am so pleased that all is well with you, it’s crazy how you get attached to your blog friends LOL! This is such a fun entry!!… you have inspired me as always!!! Wouldn’t it make such a fun Halloween card if you switched up the butterflies for bats? The only reason I am saying this is because I was thinking about making witches wands for all my naughty witches for friends and that tree and red circle would be PERFECT! You Nailed this challenge as always! This is my 2nd fav over Ethel! did I mention how much I love her!! she is so awesome! I showed her to everyone btw…. you are so creative! I would love to have your email address… I have something I would like to share with you. 🙂 I think you will like it!… You can call it an early Christmas prezzy 😉
    Lisa 🙂

Hi Lisa. Great to hear from you as always. Thank you for stopping by and for your lovely comments. It is funny. When I was making this I did think I could have orange as the one colour and added a pumpkin. I think halloween cards are on the agenda! lol! Sorry for delays in getting to your blog and to other blogs I follow. There has been a couple of problems with the computer. Firstly I lost my subscriptions which wordpress have now (hopefully) sorted out and Freddie has been working a lot in his office over the past week so I have not been able to access my computer as often as I normally do. I will send you an e.mail today. If you do not receive it in the next 24 hours can you leave me a comment. Looking forward to seeing your witchy creations. Hope you post them on your blog. Thanks again Lisa for your visit.
      Kind Regards Florence x

Fantastic work so very striking. Can see it as either an Oriental Piece of a Halloween one. Would look great as part of a group of small canvasses on a wall but then love Neet’s idea of a box lid. Never fear Black and white are completed for now moving onto something new for September, SEPTEMBER! good grief thank you for sharing with us once again at Just for Fun XOXO Zoe
