Carriage Block – JFF

Well that is what I am calling this one.  Over at Just for Fun this week’s challenge theme is anything with more than four sides.   For full details of the challenge, the design teams inspiring ideas and all the fab entries click on the JFF logo on the sidebar.  I  have gone with one of our Zoe’s suggestions and decorated a cube of wood.

It is a bit ruff and ready but as I used a block off an old pallet I am quite pleased with how it turned out.  There are a few smudges here and there!  I hope I am forgiven! lol!

The feet are made from beads.  The handle is a piece of dowel with a couple of brass screws.  I used fabric paint to colour this because I only wanted a bit of a stain effect.

Stamps used:  Poppies from Chocolate Baroque and Script from Crafty Individuals.

Well I think that is it from me.  I have been out of blog land for about a week so I am off to catch up with everyone.

Have a great weekend.

Best Wishes Florence

Hi Von. I did wonder about different ideas for this. Maybe drill a hole and pop a candle in it or holes for pencils but never thought of a door stop. Great idea. Thank you for stopping by and for your lovely comments. Always great to hear from you.

Another beautiful rendition from the craftroom of Florence. I really thought you had altered a carriage clock and was hastily wondering if mine was on it’s way out so I could create on it.
Fabulous idea, fantastic result – but then that is just the norm for your work – always fab! Hugs, Neet x
