Just For Fun – Favourite shape – Boot

Over at Just For Fun this week Neet is still on the loose  and causing havoc with her challenge themes! LOL!  Well for me anyway.  For this week’s challenge Neet has chosen favourite shape for the theme.  For full details of the challenge, Neet’s, Zoe’s, and Von’s inspiration pieces and all the fab entries click on the JFF  link above.

My favourite shape, for Christmas decorations anyway, is a boot shape.

I made another ice skate for this weeks challenge.

florence-langleydsc_0002

I made one of these a few weeks ago which if you are interested is HERE.

I cut the shape out of MDF with my scroll saw, drilled some holes and painted first with white acrylic.  I added some brown acrylic around the edges and then more white coats until the  brown was covered.  I then sanded it all to take some of the white off.  There is logic in there some where! lol!

Right I am off for a cuppa.  Have a lovely evening everyone.

Best Wishes Florence.

PS Sorry for the double link Zoe.  The first one went wrong.

I was saying what a talent you have and how much I like your boot. Is there no end to your talent! I wish I could do half of the things you do. How did you learn to cut wooden shapes like that?
Anyway, this is fabulous, love everything about it – now off to find that key die.
Hugs and Thanks for putting up with my challenges – Neet xx

    • Hi Cecilia. Hope all is well. I have never used tin. I use aluminium tins quite a lot for garden decorations. What I would really like to projects using agricultural machinery bits and pieces. I have always fancied that or using old bikes to make giant wind chimes. Unfortunately, where I live, I have no way of getting hold of any materials. Maybe one day!!!!! Thank you for calling in and for your lovely comments. Always great to hear from you.
