Medieval Booklet – JFF

This is a really quick post.  Just about to start mowing the lawns.  Absolutely glorious weather up in the mountains at the moment.  The Almond blossom is now out.   Seems a shame to be indoors and dare I say even in the craft room at the moment!

I made a little booklet for this weeks challenge over at Just For Fun.  The challenge this week is Medieval.  I have to say the first thing I thought of when I saw this challenge was ” men in tights” .  Not sure where that one came from.  I hope the image in my mind goes soon!!!LOL!

I used card as a base (see photo below)  and some scraps of paper, card and fabric to make this concertina booklet.

The last photo: For the base of each decorated page and for a backing sheet, on the reverse side, I used embossed card. This hides all the sewing and traps a middle strip of card which acts like a hinge.  Not sure if that makes sense but I hope so! lol!

Hope to catch up with everyone later this evening.   In the mean time Happy Crafting.

  1. Absolutely fabulous Florence but then your work always is. This is definitely very in tune with the theme and shows such a lot of work that has gone into it. The theme must have truly inspired you, I would have found it hard to do so many pages. Love the embossing you have used too.
Enjoyed the bit about the blossom Florence.
Thanks so much for sharing this beauty with us. Hugs Neet xx

    • Hi Neet. Always great to hear from you. Thank you for calling in and for your lovely comments. It was a bit of a production line but as the bases were all the same it was only a matter of adding the different embellishments. Finally managed to leave a comment on your blog yesterday. Fab photos!
