Hatters Challenge “Time” – Set of Cards

Morning everyone.  The Out of a Hat Creations challenge theme this week is “Time”.   Lots of scope again for this one.  We are asking you to make a project of your choosing but with the focus on time.   Maybe moments in time that mean something to you or maybe a specific era that you particularly like.  Steampunk would fit very nicely with this theme as well with all the clocks, cogs and time machines.  Whatever your style of crafting is, we hope you will join in the fun.  I can’t wait to see your take on this theme.

I made a set of cards for this weeks project.  I wanted to try and keep these as simple as possible.  That was a big challenge for me!! I am giving this set to a friend.  I thought they could be used as little note cards.  I’m thinking ….”time flies, haven’t seen you for ages, just thought I would drop you a line” etc.

Or, maybe these could be used to wish someone “Happy Retirement”….. Now you have time to Craft!

I stamped the little clocks on some pretty papers for the base of these and then stamped the main images on card stock, added a little d. ink around the edge and then attached them using foam pads.

I added some dots of pearly doodles on the wings.

For this one, I just cut the clock face away from the fob watch to make the centre of the flower.

I have lost the little stamps to make the hands for this image/clock so I used some little leaves from a die cut.

Stamps used: PaperArtsy and Creative Expressions.  Papers: Crafty Individuals.

Thank you to everyone that entered the twinchies challenge last week.  Wow!  Every week we are blown away.  Absolutely fantastic projects.  So many different and fabulous ideas.  To see them all pop over to the Hatters blog and just click on the names which link back to everyone’s blogs.

Janet is still collecting names for the prize draw.  All you have to do is enter one or more of the July challenges.  So there is still time to join in.

I think that’s about it from me today.  I’m off for my morning cuppa.  Tat tar for now.   Happy Crafting

Best Wishes Florence x

The way you took clocks/watches but made them pretty definitely appeals to me.
