Wooden Bird Plaque and Card

Hi everyone

Ooops, little bit late with this post today.
I hope everyone is well.
Today I would like to share a little bird plaque and card I made using Lesley Wharton’s free papers which are available for download here.

These papers are fabulous.
I printed a piece of the backing paper off and just stamped the bird and tree image, added the highlights on the berries and fussy cut around the image.
I covered the wooden plaque with a piece of script backing paper using PVA to attach it to the wood.
I applied one coat of Mod Podge to the script paper to seal it.
When it was dry I sanded down the edges to reveal the wood.
I then attached my stamped piece using PVA.
I gave the whole piece two more coats of Mod Podge.
I then added the fabric strips and embellishments to finish.

FlorenceLangleyCards 023dThe papers are great for making really quick cards.
I just stamped my image onto the papers, added some highlights and fussy cut around.
The card was made up as seen using some mulberry paper as a backing.

The papers look as though you were playing with lots of paints to create your own background – gorgeous!

Woah! Just wow, Flo. These papers and stamps are beautiful but what you create with them takes them to another level. Absolutely jaw dropping, my friend xx
