I hope you are all well.
Not sure what is happening in our garden this morning. It’s a really mild today. The birds are singing their little heads off in the olive grove next door. They think it’s spring. So I am thinking what a lovely day its going to be. I walked up the garden to let the chickens out and their was a hawk sitting on the fence just waiting for its prey. It promptly flew off when I got too close. I let the hooligans (the chicks) out of the pen and I could hear a fox barking up the mountain. In the day time! I have just been sitting outside with a cuppa on guard because I think he is coming closer. My little safe haven is turning into a predators play ground!
Today I would like to share a little day book I made a while back.
I call them day books but some times they last a day, or a week or even a month. A bit of a small journal/scrap book. I got so fed up with writing thoughts and ideas on bits of paper and then loosing them so started making these instead. Really just something to write in when I have a coffee in the morning.
To make the focal piece I dabbed some ink on a Gelli Plate and spritzed it with water and then swished a piece of thick card onto it picking up the diluted ink.
I then stamped the tree using Distress Ink and very, very lightly spritzed it with water to create the foliage and to soften the image.
Thank you to my lovely friends who left comments on my last post.
They are always appreciated.
