Hi everyone
I hope you are all well.
This month’s challenge over on the Crafty Individuals Blog is “Mini Masterpieces”. There is lots of scope for you to interpret challenge how you wish. I hope you can join in.
Please click on the link above to see full details of the challenge and the wonderful inspirational pieces by the team.
Here is one of my projects for the challenge.
Crafty Individuals Stamps Used:
Memory Lane CI 274.
For the base I used a scrap of wood which I cut to size and sanded it down with sand paper.
I painted the block with two coats of Gesso and two coats of warm white paint.
I drilled two holes in the top to hold the wire.
I stamped the houses using Black Archival Ink and coloured them with diluted Distress Inks. Ink from felt pens works equally well.
I sprayed the piece with a fixative to hold the ink in place and then applied a coat of gel medium to seal.
Tip: The ink can be unstable even with a fixative so you do need to use a fluid gel medium/sealer which goes on quickly and smoothly without too much brushing.
I added the beads to the wire and then fixed the wire in place. I would have liked to have “Home” but I didn’t have the right lettered beads.
I will be back soon with some more projects that I made for the challenge but if you want to have a sneak peek please click HERE.
Thank you for looking
Take care,

This a stamp that appealed to me but I never bought it as I couldn’t think how to use it!
Love your wooden block, perfectly sized and cut. The Spanish word against the quintessentially English houses adds a touch of fun. Great choice of theme too!
This is gorgeous, so colourful. I really like anything to do with little houses and this stamp is very cute. Thank you for sharing, I look forward to seeing more of your creations.

This is fabulous, Florence, and great theme, by the way! Mi casa es tu casa, in Spanish, and in Italian, also, is Casa 🙂
Ooo Flo…. Pinning on my inspirational CI board this little village made by you of course, so out of the box and cute!!!! Fabulous coloring. Love, love this first sample, to bits.
And what a clever use of this stamp (I have too, but never inked yet… so of course now, guess what?… I want to create the same thing! :D).
Hugs xxx
This is fantastic Florence. I love those little houses and the idea of putting them on a wooden hanging.
