Perching Robin – Folding Card and Box

Hi everyone,

Another day another post. Today’s project is another project made for Crafty Individuals using the new stamp “Perching Bird” (Maria Kitano) CI 507.

Thank you everyone for your lovely comments and kind words on my posts. They are truly appreciated.

I have added lots of photos of this project rather than writing how I made it. It is pretty straight forward. I did use a die to cut out the folding card shape.

To make the box, I used a piece of thick card which I coloured with Distress Inks and stamped onto.

I used just the robin’s head, another piece of die cut card and a little bit of garden string to make the faster for the box.

I used a die to cut the folding card pieces.

The Robin was stamped in Black Staz-On and coloured with inks.

I used Distress inks to colour the base card to match the box.

The little button embellishments on this project were made using little domed rubber feet which I glued onto pretty papers and trimmed the edges. They are self adhesive but I added a little bit of glue. Just to share, I bought these in the pound shop they come on a sheet of about 30. Really cheep and fun to use.

Well that’s about it for me today. I will post some card projects, using the new CI stamps, on my card blog over the next week or so.  Today looks a bit wet and miserable. An afternoon in the sewing room is planned and I am starting my papier mache! That will be fun 🙂

Thank you for looking.

Flo x

  2. So pretty!! And such a clever idea and gift for someone special. You are so creative, Flo, Also, I love the way you used the rubber feet buttons. I’ve never seen those. I’m also guessing the “pound shop” is our equivalent of the “dollar store” 😉 Hopping over to see your next post. Have glorious day, dear friend. xox
